Welcome to Midland Ski Club

Since we were founded in 1965, MSC has provided all things Alpine skiing to skiers of all ages in The Midlands and beyond. We hold regular race training on dry slopes, social functions, holidays and training weeks on snow.

Dry Slope Training

We have reverted to the structured training sessions running before Covid restrictions came in place. This has little effect on the Wednesday and Thursdau session at Swadlincote and the Tuesday sessions at Ackers where any skier wishing to improve their racing skills may participate. Taster sessions are still available at 6:00 pm on Thursdays, but the 6:00 pm to 7:30 and the 7:30 to 9:00 sessions are reserved for invited skiers aiming for GBR or higher positions at Club National level. The 6:00 to 7:30 pm sessions on Fridays are to provide a gateway into racing for children under 12 who are progressing towards parallel turns. The later session is a general session for adults wishing to improve their skiing skills. It will be adapted to the needs of the skiers present.

All  sessions are available to book using the link on this page.

These are all subject to demand and to Government and Snowsport England guidance. Should we need to cancel or rearrange, you will receive a full refund via Eola.

We ski up to 5 evenings a week to offer as much opportunity as possible to train while group numbers are restricted. These coached sessions are for those who would like to improve their technical skills and to train using poles or stubbies with racing in mind.
